Who We Are

Founded by Tamara’s father nearly 40 years ago, our tax and accounting business has grown and evolved, with Tamara now at the helm. Serving clients in North and South Carolina, we are dedicated to providing top-notch tax preparation and accounting services. Our office is also equipped to assist clients nationwide with their tax returns.

Tamara C. Kemp, MSA, CPA

Tamara focuses on providing daily assistance to individual, corporate, partnership, and non-profit clients. She specializes in individual and business tax preparation, small business startups, and QuickBooks training and consulting. Tamara earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Accountancy from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and has been a partner with our firm for over 30 years.

Tamara is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants. She attends First Presbyterian Church in Lumberton.

Mandy Campbell

Senior Accountant Mandy MBA

Mandy graduated from East Carolina University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. She also earned her Master of Business Administration in 2022 from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Mandy has prior experience as a Chief Financial Officer in the construction industry as well as 20 years of public accounting experience. As Senior Accountant, she offers tax and accounting support for nonprofit organizations, businesses, and individuals.

Mandy lives locally with her husband, three sons, and dogs. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time volunteering for a local Animal Rescue, going to the beach with family, and watching ECU Pirates Football!

Wendy C. Oxendine

Staff Accountant

Wendy is a graduate of Hoke County High School. She has extensive banking experience, having worked for BB&T for five years, Bank of America for ten years, and Lumbee Guaranty Bank for two years. In 2005, she joined the Collins & Kemp CPAs, PLLC team as a staff accountant, where she offers payroll, bookkeeping, and tax services.

Wendy lives in Red Springs, NC, with her husband of 37 years, Donald. He serves as the Pastor of the United Pentecostal Church, and Wendy actively serves by his side in the ministry. Together they have two sons and five grandchildren.

Brenda Floyd

Staff Accountant

Brenda graduated from Western Carolina University in 1975 with a degree in French Education. She moved from Shelby, NC to Fairmont in 1975 where she spent her 37 year teaching career at Fairmont High School.

Brenda has also been a Travel Counselor with the North Carolina Department of Commerce at the I95 South Welcome Center located in Rowland NC for the past 10 years where she greets travelers, offers destination advice and directions and speaks French with the French Canadiens that stop by.

During her career, Brenda provided bookkeeping and publication services for various organizations. Brenda has 8 years of tax service experience and has been an integral part of our staff for the last 3 years.

Brenda lives on a farm outside of Proctorville, NC with her sister, numerous cats, chickens and 3 Guinea hens and is a member of Proctorville Baptist Church. She has a son and a daughter, an 8 year old granddaughter and one arriving in October.

Harriette Lovin

Receptionist

Harriette is a native of Fairmont, NC and graduate of UNC-Pembroke. She has resided in Lumberton since 1995 with her husband. They have one adult son that lives in Chapel Hill NC.

Harriette was a school teacher for 32 years when she retired. After retirement, she worked for the State Employees Credit union as a Financial Service Representative for almost 5 years. Harriette joined our team in February 2023 as receptionist and liaison for client services.

Tanya Branch

Staff Accountant

Tanya joined our team in 2025 bringing with her over 25 years of bookkeeping experience. She spent 18 years as bookkeeper for a local business and 9 years employed by the state of North Carolina as finance manager.

Keith Locklear, UNCP Student

Intern

Keith is a current student at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, where he is working toward a bachelor's degree in accounting with a business administration minor. He currently serves in the U.S. Army North Carolina National Guard and has previous experience as a supervisor in the retail industry.
